Manca davvero una manciata di giorni al primo via degli Europei di Nuoto dedicati al settore Master, questi campionati che sono nati come evento dell’anno ma nonostante il boom di iscritti, forse, si ricorderanno come l’evento blindato e mal pensato. Ovviamente speriamo per tutti gli atleti e accompagnatori di no, ma dopo le innumerevoli scelte assai discutibili e per non ultima la e-news rilasciata il 1° maggio, di certo non è facile sperare che per gli avventori del London Aquatics Center possa rimanere un bel ricordo.
Il Comitato organizzatore assieme alla LEN hanno rilasciato un vademecum per gli spettatori e atleti, una piccola e “pratica” guida su come si svolgerà all’interno dell’impianto londinese l’ingresso per accompagnatori e nuotatori .
Come dice un vecchio detto in Italia, paese spesso deriso per la sua scarsa organizzazione, chi prima arriva meglio alloggia!
Si, perché a quanto dice il comunicato che trovate di seguito:
“L’accesso agli spettatori sarà controllato: l’entrata verrà garantita ai primi spettatori in arrivo, e una volta raggiunta la capacità concordata l’entrata verrà chiusa e riaperta solo al liberarsi di posti”.
Speriamo di non vedere “accampamenti” come davanti ai centri commerciali la notte prima dell’uscita dell’ultimo modello tecnologico di moda!
Gareggerai nella vasca secondaria? non sarà possibile seguire la gara dal vivo ma solo da maxi-schermi allestiti nella vasca “number 1”, quindi il tifo fatelo in modo preventivo, magari tramite whatsapp, così che prima di salire sul blocco il vostro amico, compagno/a, fidanzata/o, marito o moglie potrà ascoltarlo!
Armarsi di pazienza e cercare di tenere una certa “aplomb” anglosassone è il consiglio che vi diamo, ma certo che, queste nostre considerazioni sono esclusivamente dettate dalle comunicazioni che vengono rilasciate man mano che ci avviciniamo al 25 maggio.
Nel contempo è stata rilasciata anche la start-list, che però è incompleta poiché mancano i 400 e gli 800 stile libero che probabilmente sono ancora in stand-by per motivi organizzativi.

Informazioni Spettatori
Il London Aquatics Center è una delle location sportive più grandi al mondo, ma è cambiato molto dai Giochi Olimpici e Paraolimpici del 2012.
Durante i Campionati Europei Master, l’accesso agli spettatori sarà controllato: l’entrata verrà garantita ai primi spettatori in arrivo, e una volta raggiunta la capacità concordata l’entrata verrà chiusa e riaperta solo al liberarsi di posti.
Viene quindi richiesto agli spettatori di lasciare l’impianto dopo aver visto gareggiare i propri parenti e amici.
Il comitato organizzativo farà il possibile per garantire un facile accesso, ma potrebbero formarsi in alcuni casi delle code.
Non sarà possibile vedere le gare nella Piscina 2, queste verranno trasmesse in streaming e visibili nella Piscina 1. La LEN sta verificando se le gare nella Piscina 2 potranno essere trasmesse sul canale TV della LEN, ulteriori informazioni a riguardo verranno condivise a breve.
L’accesso alla piscina verrà consentito solo agli atleti che gareggiano in quel preciso giorno. Tutto verrà controllato attraverso codici che avviseranno la security chi può accedere, dove e a che ora.
Gli atleti potranno accedere alla sport information area, ma non potranno passare le barriere della security se non nelle sessioni delle proprie gare.
L’accesso per il riscaldamento sarà ristretto a quelli che gareggiano è comunque sempre ripartito a seconda delle sessioni.
Le cerimonie di premiazione avverranno al Podium di fronte all Aquatics Center e agli spettatori verranno offerti degli sconti per cibo e bevande.

Spectator Information
The London Aquatics Centre is one of the world’s greatest sporting venues but it has changed a lot since the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
In legacy mode capacity at the London Aquatics Centre has severely reduced and spectator access will be regulated for the Arena European Masters Championships. Entry will be based on a first come, first served basis and once the agreed capacity is reached it will be a one in, one out policy.
We kindly request that once spectators have watched their family member or friend race at the London Aquatics Centre that they leave the venue to allow other families and friends to enter and watch the racing.
Please be prepared to queue to get entry into the London Aquatics Centre. The LOC committee will do everything possible to enable access but there will likely at times be queues to get into the venue.
It will not be possible to watch the racing live in Pool 2. The events in Pool 2 will be streamed on to the video board in the seating area for Pool 1. The LOC and LEN are still investigating if the events in Pool 2 can be streamed on LEN’s online TV channel and further information will be shared once a decision is made on this.
Only athletes who are competing in an event that day will be able to access the venue with accreditation. This will be controlled through a code on the accreditation which will advise security as to who can have access and at what times. Athletes will be allowed in to the sport information area but not passed the security barriers.
Access for warm ups will be restricted to those competing in the events during the identified session.
We would like to request that clubs do not attempt to set up reserved areas where they come and go. This will restrict the number of spectators who can watch racing and does not create the best experience for all.
The Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park has lots of places to explore and eat and drink and we encourage families and friends to make the most of their time in London once they have watched the racing.
Medal ceremonies will take place at the Podium across from the London Aquatics Centre and they will be offering discounts on food and drink to masters families and friends.
