“>swimmers are now dealing with “London case”.

p style=”text-align: justify;”>Many athletes, even with medal ambitions, not just Italians, were definitely excluded from the competition after LEN and the LOC announced last night that the maximum capacity of swimming entries was reached after just two days entries were opened<span title=”iscrizioni.

“>On our Facebook page, we received comments and messages by master swimmers that were at least disappointed for what happened: in fact, some of those who failed to make a swimmer entry on time had already booked tickets and accommodation for their stay in London.

p style=”text-align: justify;”>On the next weekend there will be a meeting of LEN and LOC for more detailed assessment of the situation that has arisen, but – even if the news is only unofficial – probably the entries will not be reopened. Why? Because the facility can accommodate a maximum number of people, and thus to ensure the safety of participants it is not possible to find compromises. <span title=”Sempre in via ufficiosa, sembra che alcune Federazioni stiano cercando di sbloccare la chiusura.

It is impossible at the moment to make a precise estimate of the number of competitors to the London Arena LEN European Masters Championships 2016, and the available information are incomplete. Considering an average of 3 races for each athlete the total amount of Master swimmers who will be in London could be between 4000 and 4500. From now on, LEN will begin to check all the details with the National Federations.
We will continue to monitor the various information available about swimming entries and we will try, as far as possible, to keep you updated about the London Championships.
